Connect QuickBooks Online
TruSync posts every order to your QuickBooks Online company. Connecting QuickBooks is the first step, before connecting any store.
Connect your company
- From your TruSync dashboard, open the QuickBooks Connection panel and click Connect.
- Sign in to Intuit and choose the QuickBooks Online company you want TruSync to sync into.
- Review and approve the permissions TruSync requests.
- You’ll be redirected back to TruSync automatically. The panel shows your company name and a Connected badge once it succeeds.
If your Intuit account has access to more than one QuickBooks company, QuickBooks opens whichever company you were last using — TruSync can’t deep-link to a specific one. Switch companies inside QuickBooks first if you need a different one, then connect.
What TruSync does with the connection
TruSync creates and updates transactions in this QuickBooks company — Sales Receipts, Invoices, Credit Memos, and Bank Deposits, depending on how each connected store handles payments. TruSync does not reconcile your bank account; QuickBooks’ own bank feed matching does that against the transactions TruSync creates.
Re-authorizing and disconnecting
QuickBooks access tokens periodically expire. If a sync fails because the connection lapsed, open the QuickBooks Connection panel and click Re-authorize — this doesn’t affect any data already synced. Disconnect stops all syncing to that company until you reconnect.
FAQ
Can I connect more than one QuickBooks company? Each TruSync organization connects to one QuickBooks company at a time.
Does TruSync change my QuickBooks chart of accounts? No. TruSync posts transactions using the accounts and tax rates you map during setup — it doesn’t create or rename accounts on its own.
Will connecting QuickBooks import my historical data? No. Sync starts from the connection date forward.
